I want to take pretty photo!

Been a year since i got my second hand 300D. Its a low end DSLR but its served its purpose for someone like me.

I think the best way to improve on one photography skill is to :

  • Shoot often
  • Learn the basic of picture composition
  • Look at other people works

So i’m looking forward to having a basic photography course + fortnightly shooting at least!

Blood Diamond.

Just watched “Blood Diamond” the movie. Not a bad film i said but somehow something is missing. Anyone has any idea what is that?

Anyway, its a great movie to watch for those with girlfriends and wives. Highlight the over hyped up connection between “true love” and diamonds. Consumers had been brain washed to the advantage of the diamond sellers.

Something must be very wrong if the representation of true love is a piece of stone which is dug up by underpaid workers and is worth at least a month of an avearge singaporean monthly income. Where did all the huge profit margin go to?

Think twice before buying your next diamond.

Marriage Life.

People been asking me how is life after my December wedding. So i guess i should say something about it. :P

I like the time we spend cooking together! Its not like we been cooking much but it is so fun trying to think up of food to cook and to impress each other on. Honey been learning well on cooking rice! :) We do not always cook pork chop you know!

Other times we will be sitting infront at the TV watching “House”. Reading books in the bed. Walking around the estate after dinner.

Of cos not everything is rosy, we are 2 person with different family background on top of the gender difference. But these are the times that will strengthen the bonding and made us understand each other better.

On the MRT….

Being “bless” with the opportunity of getting on the mrt at the very first station in the morning rush, had ensured me a seat on the train most of the time. Those times that i did not get a seat was either because of :

  1. I was late and could not afford to wait for the next train
  2. I decided that i wanted to stand

Anyway, i was engrossed with my copy of “My Paper” aka the only bilingual paper in singapore once i settled down comfortably onto the seat. So it was not till 4 stations later that i decided to pull my eyes away from the paper and have a look at my surrounding. A sense of guilt struck me as i look up. A woman well into her 6, 7 or 8 months ( Sorry I aint expert in this area) of pregnancy is standing right infront of me and she was looking into the paper the guy beside her was holding. So having studied Moral Education in primary school and with a sticker nearby which indicated this seat should be offered to certain group of people (My seat did not belong to this category thou), i stood up and offered my seat to her. And before i offered her, i took a quick look around me. The lady on my left is fast asleep and the guy on my right too. But the moment i stood up, the guy on my right open his eye and shoot a look towards to me. Okay maybe my standing up woke him up? Anyway for the rest of the trip, he is wide awake. Is it because there is a woman sitting beside him now or is it because there is no pregnant woman standing nearby? I hoped this guy is not a father yet. I’m not even though i just got my license not long ago but i do know how it feel to carry a 3-4kg laptop bag. All this campaign about a more gracious society do not seem to work well in this country. Maybe a fine for not being gracious will have been better.

What do you want?

Much a simple 4 words but yet so hard to answer.

How many of us really know what do we want?

Or do we just flow on with life and make the best out of it?

If you do not know what you want and has also never make a clear goal to archive it, how can YOU be performing at your very best?

If you are not trying your best, is it right to blame others for your own under achievement?

The more you put the blame on others, the less power you give yourself to change whatever is wrong.

So everything starts from ourselves.

Set a clear goal and write it down. Describe the GOAL clearly.

For example, instead of saying ” I want to lose weight.” , say ” I WILL go brisking walking for a hour everyday “.

Rewarding trip to Labrador Park :)

After the first trip to labrador park, the Huang Fishing Team went back 3 more times. 2 times in the day and 1 time in the night. In all we caught,

  • 1 catfish
  • 3 halfbeaks
  • 1 scat
  • 2 todaks
  • 1 dun know what fish
  • 1 eel which manage to escape into the ground

Personally i liked the halfbeaks best. Tasted fabulous when fried. Yum Yum. :) Next target rabbit fish!

Halfbeaks

The halfbeaks!

tokah

Todaks, scat, unknown fish.

The big todak(the bottle in the picture is a 1.5L one!) put up quite a fight on my light tackle set, jumping out of the water a few times while i reel it in. Man you can feel the adreline rush pumping through my blood! The unknown fish actually bended Andy’s small hook, heard its taste good too!

Many tight lines to come !
